Next round of political consultations between Tajikistan and Switzerland was held in Dushanbe

On December 8, 2023, the next round of inter-ministerial political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Swiss Confederation took place in Dushanbe.
During the consultations, the parties exchanged views on the current state of cooperation between the two countries and perspectives for the coming years.
Along with discussing political and economic issues and improving the legal framework of relations, the sides considered the implementation of development partnership projects and programs with Switzerland, as well as opportunities to expand economic and inter-parliamentary cooperation and implementation of regional projects and programs.
In addition to the instruments of political consultations, the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation, Tajikistan and Switzerland have established constructive cooperation within the framework of the Bretton Woods Financial Institutions, the Global Environment Facility, the UN and the OSCE.
